Short career but some notable hits
Although, Tiffany had a short chart career between 1987 and 1989, she still had some notable chart successes. She had two US Number One singles ("I think we're alone now" and "Could've been) and one UK Number One single ("I think we're alone now"). I suppose that once your first successful single reaches Number One in the UK and US, the only way is down - and so it proved for Tiffany. Although her version of "I think we're alone now" is the only version you ever hear played, it was actually a cover, the original being recorded by Tommy James and the Shondells which reached Number 4 in the US in 1967. Also to be found on this compilation is her Beatles' cover "I saw him standing there". I bought this as I love "Could've been", a great wistful ballad and the more uptempo "Radio romance".

Truly a comprehensive collection of this band's work
One of the great British groups of the 1960s. This great compilation includes all 3 of their UK Number Ones ("You really got me", "Tired of waiting for you" and "Sunny afternoon") as well as their 3 UK Number Two singles ("All day and all of the night", "Waterloo sunset" and "Lola"). The collection also includes the original versions of tracks that were hits for other artists, namely "David Watts" covered by The Jam and "Stop your sobbing" covered by the Pretenders. I was particularly pleased to find that this compilation includes two of their lesser known hits "Supersonic rocket ship" and Come dancing" which are hard to find elsewhere. Truly an ultimate collection!!
