Throws Galore
This is a smashing crochet book. Full of fabulous throws that are not that hard to make yet look fantastic. There is a lot of choice for every mood or occasion and the instructions seem clear with accompanying full picture with all the glorious details of. Your throw. Love it. It includes a few for the more experienced Crocheter but for someone like me, just beginning, it's fine.

Getting started with Digital SLR photography.
Having had a number of compact digital cameras I was becoming a bit bored with the results and wanted the challenge of upgrading to a Digital SLR which would give me more scope to achieve a greater variety of photgraphic effects. Fuji produced this camera when 3million pixels was the norm at the high end of the market yet the S602 zoom, due to some snippy technology, produces images equivelant to 6 million pixels, and I liked the idea of having those extra pixels to use when cropping and printing. I already had smart media cards and compact flash memory cards left over from my old cameras which can be used in the S602.With 3-6 million pixels, the images are not so huge in file size yet provide lots of detail that my older pcs can handle and the memory cards would fit into the appropriate slots on my PC..all technoloy compatible for shooting, editing and printing to my hearts content. The camera has an excellent zoom facility and macro mode allowing close ups of flowers and insects as long as you have a steady hand or a tripod. It is relatively easy to use and not too big to fit snuggly into the hand. It has an auto setting which indictaes the setting for apperature and shutter speed in the viewfinder as the shot is taken which is a great help when learning what settings to use in certain situations. You can then move on to settings that allow more control and make decisions for yourself to get the effect you want. In addition there is a set of pre set situation settings which again are also useful so even a beginner like me can get started and learn as you shoot so to speak. Controls are well placed and it has the advantage of having a veiwfinder as well as a screen...(very useful in bright sunlight) and toggling between the two is simply at the press of a button as is zooming in or out. Disapointingly, because of the noise the lens makes zooming in or out, the video does not zoom as more modern cameras do but I knew this before purchase. Video is industry standard 30fps and really excellent sound and picture quality. The results I have had so far from photos relect my amatuer status and a shortfall of knowledge in certain areas but I am learning. I have taken some great photos of the cat and the potential for greater things is there once I learn how to use it properly. Certainly it is providing the challenge I wanted and I am very very pleased with it.The camera came complete with add on wide angle and telephoto lenses, camera bag and all leads so I got a whole lot of camera for my money. It is a sealed unit unlike other SLRs so it does not have a dust problem at all when shooting. The viewscreen is directly behind the cameras eye and so what you see is what you get on the photo. If I cannot get to grips with the complexities of Digital SLR photography its a good enough piece of kit to resell. personally I think I will keep this camera for a long time as it is meets all my needs for the forseeable future and despite being an older camera has almost all the features you might expect a more modern camera to have at a fraction of the cost. A great introduction to SLR digital photography.

Camera for Mum
I wanted a simple to use yet good quality digital camera for an older relative to use to take good print at home snaps. Olympus are renowned for good cameras with user friendly interface and this lightweight and compact camera fitted the bill. It was an older model which added to its simplicity and being second hand and relatively cheap it meant that if my relative did not take to it not a lot was lost. It came with a good sized memory card, and instruction booklet. Was very clean and well cared for, in fact the slide opening mechanism was a bit stiff as if it had hardly been used. It also does simple video which is an extra fun aspect for my relative to have fun with. It will fit easily into a pocket or handbag and photos from it can be printed either on ahome printer or shop machine. Very pleased with item.
