A Bat By Any Other Name......
Knightfall is epic in story and in scope. How do you kill one of the greatest super heros of all time? How about a 7 foot psychopath that has been imprisoned his whole life in some of the worst hell holes on earth, fought and beat anything that ever got in his way and what's more has chemically augmented strength. Batman faces one of his greatest challenges ever when literally "broken" by a ego driver maniac named Bane. While recovering from his injuries Bruce Wayne calls upon the only other man he believes can successfully fill Batman's shoes. Little does he know this new batman is inherently unstable and soon turns the mantle of the bat into a bloody crusade in the name of his patron saint.
Knightfall has all the old favorite villains with a few twists and surprises as new ones. The psyche of Bruce Wayne when dealing with possibly permanent injuries shows the true lengths he will go to in dedication to his ideal as The Batman. Bane is the ultimate destroyer utilizing both psychological and physical assaults in his attack against Gotham's Knight. Lastly, Jean Paul acting as Batman's replacement is a wild card that will keep readers fascinated to the end.
All in all this book is worth reading for any Batman fan new or old. Highly recommended as one of the best Batman stories of all time.
