I bought this book to follow up a previous book of De Botton's that I read weeks earlier, The Pleasures and Sorrows of Work (this book I highly recommend). I purchased it new, hardbound at Barnes & Noble in Akron, OH, primarily because it was featured in the "What We're Reading" section. So naturally, I wanted more of De Botton's work.
I'm about half way through The Art of Travel and I'm finding that, although he provides unique insight on why people travel, he sporadically transcends time by jumping between his own thoughts and those of various 19th century French artists.
Perhaps I shouldn't write my review until I'm done with the book, but eBay asked me for it, and I'm trying to support readers and the eBay/Half.com community.

Why does my review require a title?
This is the tape my brother and I would listen to in his '89 Cutlass, usually on the way to a skate spot. Those GM cars had incredible factory stereo systems. This album is snotty Boston ska at its finest. Never owned a vinyl copy, and now the crunchy guitars and vibrant horns pipe through my digital sources. Plus my fiancé recognizes one of the songs, which was included on movie sountrack. I don't own any other Bosstones albums, not to say that I won't.
