My favourite phone ever
Six years ago, I swapped my 3 month old Nokia 8850 for one of these, everybody thought I was mad, but I knew what I was doing. It was the first phone on the market with built in Bluetooth, and was way ahead of it's time. And as far as I'm concerned, looks awesome. I used this phone for two and a half years (the longest time I've ever owned a phone for), and it survived several trips around the world, it's excellent battery life being very useful in the wilds of Africa with no power points around, and the chunky antenna gives great reception. It eventually got stolen, and I 'upgraded' to a T68i. The only downside of the T39 I can think of is that the keypad is almost impossible to read in the dark, due to the weird backlight. After growing tired of my flashy 3G phone, I decided to get back to basics. I bought a reconditioned one from a guy in Hong Kong, it arrived quickly and is in a great quality new case. It did come with two dodgy fake Chinese batteries, but what can you expect for £17 delivered? Anyway, I can reccoment these phones to anyone, they have a classic design that never looks old. If you're looking for something even more retro-cool, you might prefer the T28. I now have one of each. :)
