I ordered a rug and unknowingly had the rug shipped to my previous residence. While it was my error, Rug Island provided zero customer service and would not assist me in resolving the matter. I contacted FedEx and was told shipper must issue a call tag to retrieve the rug, but Rug Island refused. I would have been willing to pay a fee. I have no way to retrieve the rug and am disappointed that this seller would not offer the slightest customer service to help me find a resolution.

Not true, we promptly responded to both of your messages. We advised you that YOU could request Fedex or UPS could pick up your rug and ship it to your new address, but you would need to coordinate the pickup with whoever resides at your old address and that it would cost $$$. You never mentioned that you were willing to pay for the new shipping charges. In the same amount of time you've spent criticising us, you could have arranged for Fedex or UPS to pickup your rug, which you can still do.
