If look at the pics 1 oh these Beregs is the one I bought here, the other I brought from Ukraine a few years go. Still works. These might be crude, not have the bells and whistles, but this older meter was my lifeline. Got me out of 1 helluva jam. I'll take 1 of these in containment over anything else anytime

Works great. It takes a minute to warm up before it starts to function, almost like my vacuum tube type geiger counters. After about 30 seconds its ready . Love it for how simplistic it is. it comes with me to salvage yards cause there are people who scrap orphan sources from time to time, they fit nicely in my collection.
