Intended for both 35mm film and full frame digital cameras, the Minolta AF 50mm lens is used with cropped frame cameras as well with great bokeh results. While the intended use of the device is as an auto focus (AF) lens, it is used as a manual focus lens as well. Combined with the many features that the lens comes equipped with, this is one of the most versatile lenses available on the market. A built-in telescoping hood prevents unnecessary flaring from occurring with both full frame and cropped frame pictures. This 50mm APS-C style lens filters out unwanted light and glare that has a major effect on the photo’s end results. You still maintain the protection that lens hoods offer, preventing unwanted damage to the glass elements of the lens itself. Durability is an important aspect of the Minolta AF 50mm f/1.4 APS-C style lens. This device is constructed of a hard-plastic outer cover that has a rubberized bottom.
