This book will guide you through creating a video course membership site secured with JSON Web Tokens.This book's target audience is developers who want to learn how to build ASP.NET Core 2.2 MVC, Razor Page, and API applications. The API has JSON Web Token (JWT) authentication and authorization, and the Razor Pages calls the API with HttpClient. You should be an intermediate level C# developer with some experience in MVC, Entity Framework, HTML5, and CSS3. The book presupposes that you have a solid C# foundation with good knowledge in OOP, Linq/Lambda, generics, and asynchronous calls; this is not a book about the C# language. You will learn ASP.NET Core 2.2 by building three applications in five projects. The first application is a UI for users registered with the membership site built with the MVC tem¬plate; the second is an administration UI built with Razor Pages; the third is an API secured with JSON Web Token authentication and authorization that the administration applica¬tion calls with HttpClient. All three applications use several services with differing purpos¬es.
