The seller photo states Toastproof so I assumed they were suitable for kitchen use. The actual packaging varies from that shown but the detectors are the same model SB1-TP-R. However, the leaflet inside states they are NOT suitable for a kitchen. I contacted FireAngel for advice, who weren't exactly very helpful about the matter. So in future, I'll be buying KIDDE detectors.
