  Replaced the indicated faulty part. Replacement was easy and only took a few minutes. I didn't have a OBD device so I disconnected the battery and joined the battery cables overnight. Following day reconnected the cables and took the vehicle for a thirty mile drive. Thankfully the Check Engine light did not reappear. Seems the "new" part fixed the problem. The part arrived two days earlier than forecast and was wrapped extremely well in newspaper. The part appeared to be "almost" new condition.
