  I cannot honestly rate this item because I was deprived of knowing whether it's a defective return. Seller dishonestly presented this cable modem as new in unopened box. This modem is in fact not new and not unopened. There is no seal anywhere. Plastic wrap that I assume was around the modem was just thrown in the box. The dead giveaway was whoever got this modem before me - they wrote the password in pen in the manual. For some reason they returned it, then this clown seller sells it as "new".
