    Unit was as-described and value was very good. The packaging could have been more robust, but the unit did not appear to have been subjected to shock and there was no external damage noted. I installed this Sony optical drive in my HP 8495 computer to replace the original HP drive which recently failed. The purchased unit matched another Sony drive which I had been using to burn CD-Rs. The unit read pre-recorded CD and CDRs properly and I successfully burned a few recordings to blank CD-Rs.
