The Story behind Handaa

I come from a long line of leather craftsmen in a Marrakech city known for its tanning tradition spanning over eight centuries.
This craft has sustained my family and community for generations.
My passion for leather work ignited at the age of ten when I began creating bracelets, dolls, and toys from leather scraps, bringing joy to friends with each creation.

Accompanying my father and grandfather to the leather market every week, I witnessed the art of acquiring the finest materials through skillful bidding.
At our tannery, leather undergoes meticulous treatment in large circular basins, each containing natural substances like salt, lime, and tannins to enhance its strength and quality. After preparation, the leather is exposed to the sun to develop its unique color and softness.

With a blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, we create leather products that bring satisfaction and joy to our customers, continuing our legacy of excellence

    Beautiful bag! Nice quality. Colors are just as vibrant as in the photos. Bag is new and in perfect condition and packaged well for shipping. Maybe looks a little smaller in person than what it looks like in the photos, but I love it. This will be a gift.
