Gieseking's playing is often fast and playful and much like that of Edwin Fischer in 1933-36. This set, in fine condition, will sit alongside those from Glenn Gould, rec.1962-72, Davitt Moroney, 1988, and Bernard Roberts,1998. I don't need any more as I much prefer the earlier recordings of such works.
