My name is Dan, and I am the author of 'Imperforate Penny Reds' which was awarded a silver medal at EuroPhilEx Birmingham 2025.

I have specialised in imperforate Penny Reds for many years. I love the authenticity of the GB line-engraved, imperforate stamps - I feel they are genuine relics of the stamp world.

I find plating absolutely fascinating and can spend far too long ensuring I identify plates correctly! My mission is to help other collectors develop full collections of GB imperforate Penny Red plates.

    Daniel has produced an excellent book, full of interest to anyone familiar with imperforate penny reds. I was particularly impressed by some wonderful illustrations. The shade reproductions are probably the best I have ever seen. Plenty of food for thought and further study.

    A fine cancellation of a Maltese Cross on a complete penny red. Many thanks for this and for photographing, accurately describing, wrapping carefully and posting safely. Great addition to the collection and with your book will surely see this grow. Very good price for a well preserved postage stamp which is probably 184 years old. Posted with other items.
