Chris Carter: guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, teacher Chris Carter has performed in nightclubs, concerts and festivals throughout the U.S. and Europe leading his own group, The Chris Carter Band, or backing up such legendary artists as Marcia Ball/Irma Thomas/Tracy Nelson, Solomon Burke, Lester Chambers (of the Chambers Brothers), Chubby Checker, The Drifters, Eddie Floyd, Roy Gaines, The Ink Spots, Johnnie Johnson, Earl King, The Marvelettes, Sam Moore (of Sam and Dave), Kenny Neal, The Platters, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Reverend Zen, Percy Sledge, Ronnie Spector, Hubert Sumlin, Howard Tate, Rufus and Carla Thomas, The Uptown Horns Revue and Andre Williams. Chris has also opened shows for Chuck Berry, Bobby Blue Bland, Lonnie Brooks, Shemekia Copeland, Robert Cray, Bo Diddley, Robert Gordon, Ben E. King, Mitch Ryder, Boz Scaggs, Pete Seeger, The Ventures and Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul & Mary).
