If the power goes out, the Honda EU1000i 1000 Watt 1.8 HP Generator will make sure the refrigerator keeps the cold food cold and the frozen food frozen. This compact, portable generator has a rated output of up to 1000 watts (120v), making it capable of operating a variety of appliances, power tools, and equipment. With the Honda EU1000i 1000 Watt Generator’s consistent power output and inverter technology, computers, cell phones, printers, and other electronic equipment can safely be returned to a full charge. Computers and power-sensitive equipment require “Clean Power.” The Honda Generator produces “Clean Power,” which is an electrical current that is consistent and has a stable signal or sine wave. The Honda EU1000i 1000 Watt Generator is fuel efficient. With a fuel tank of 0.6 gallons, the EU1000i can run from between 3.8 and 8.3 hours on a tank of gasoline, depending on the load. The Honda EU1000i model is designed with Eco-Throttle technology. This innovative feature allows the engine to provide only the power needed for the application that is in use. The generator’s engine does not have to run at full capacity at all times, thereby reducing fuel consumption as well as the noise level. Eco-Throttle reduces fuel consumption by up to 40% and also cuts exhaust emissions. The Honda EU1000i Generator model is quiet as well; noise output varies between 53 to 59Dba, depending on the load, which is as quiet as a normal conversation. Using a combination of special sound-dampening materials, the quiet Honda engine and Eco-Throttle technology produce a generator that is much quieter than traditional generators. This allows the Honda Generator to provide the power needed, yet it is still able to run unobtrusively at campsites, at tailgating parties, and at night. The EU1000i model is lightweight and portable; at less than 30 pounds, the generator can easily be moved around to the place where it is needed without undue physical stress. The Honda Generator has a DC outlet for charging automotive-type batteries and other 12-volt items. Use of this outlet requires a supplemental charging cord. The Honda Generator features “Oil Alert” as well, and this feature will shut the engine down if low oil is detected. A key benefit of the Honda EU1000i Generator is that if more power is needed, it can be used in parallel with another EU1000 generators to produce power rated at 2000 watts. This type of dual operation requires an optional parallel cable. The Honda Generator features a USDA-qualified spark arrestor/muffler and is circuit protected, which protects the generator from being overloaded. The Honda Generator comes with a complete and detailed owner’s manual; however, it is easy to set up and use without complex instructions.
