If you're having problems with your Bose Companion 3 PC sound system, the puck may be the problem. If it is, this little plug bypasses the bad puck so you can control the volume through your PC controls. This saved me a lot of money! It arrived in perfect like new condition. There was a slight delay from USPS on shipping (not the seller’s fault). I received it and works fantastic with my Bose companion III series. Installation to the 9 pin plug on back of my Bose Companion 3 (BC3) was straight forward and worked perfectly…allowed me to eliminate Bose’s control pod which had developed an annoying crackling and popping when adjusting volume. So pleased I purchased a 2nd unit for my son’s BC3.
