The series FS100 NetGear’s desktop switch(including the FS108na and FS105), has a reputation for delivery performance and providing the user with great reliability. The NetGear FS108 provides up to 10/100Mbps high speed connectivity to your LAN and it is able to accommodate up to 16 users per network. Setup is easy. All you have to connect is the power cord and Ethernet cable to get the switch up and running. The switch latches onto the strongest connection in range and it features technology called Auto-Uplink that chooses the best connection for each of the ports. Any 10BASE-T units you already have in use are simple to use with this NetGear unit because it connects without compromising the wire speed of both 10Mbps and 100Mbps connections, and each port has the capacity to support up to 200Mbps. This switch is also quiet and self-cooling and the metal bodies on these low profile switches provide durability that lasts through year's of use. The switch includes status LEDs for link, speed, and activity for each of the ports. The NetGear FS108 switch features auto-negotiation, which automatically obtains the fastest possible connection for each device. The AutoUplink technology adjusts for different types of Ethernet cables, and can be placed on a desktop, any flat surface or mounted on the wall with the included wall-mounting kit.
