The lens boasts a fixed/prime focal length of 18mm and a wide angle lens (equivalent to 27mm in 35mm format), allowing the photographer to stand close to the subject and delivering razor sharp images and high-resolution right to the image edge. An excellent lens for street photography, landscapes, and interiors, the Fujifilm XF 18mm lens provides minimal barrel distortion and allows you to focus with ease at lightning speed, improving the quality of your images. This compact, wide angle lens contains seven aperture blades and delivers outstanding performance in low-light environments allowing you to capture every important moment. The lens accepts a 52mm filter and is designed for the Fujifilm X-Pro1 camera. The Fujifilm XF 18mm lens is also compatible with other Fujifilm cameras, including the X-E1. The rapid and bright f/2.0 aperture of the lens delivers beautiful photography from bokeh to wide depth of field shots. The lens has an aperture range of f/16 to f/2.0, allowing for a large range of exposure for every lighting scenario. The lens has a maximum magnification of 0.14mm, and the aperture ring has 1/3 stop click stops for 19 stops, providing more precise light exposure control. Aspheric and ED elements combat chromatic aberration, and ghosting is significantly reduced with the construction of seven groups fitted with eight elements. The lens was constructed using glass-mold aspheric lenses at the 5th and 7th elements, and a super EVC coating around the metal frame. The Fujifilm XF 18mm lens effectively increases the maximum aperture (5th element) and reduces the overall thickness of the lens (7th element). The Fujifilm XF 18mm lens has a mirrorless design, and the final element of the lens is as close as possible to the sensor, minimizing the back focus distance appreciably and reducing color shading and vignetting.
