Unfortunately, changing out the battery was an exercise that resulted in ultimate destruction. The battery kit did come with a comically small screwdriver to help you get the batter door off the system. The problem I ran into was that the new battery did not fit flush inside the system and in my attempt to get it to fit, I knocked out the tiny screw holder that keeps the screw tight

This off brand battery is defective in that both the locking tab and the base are out of limits thus not allowing the battery to fit correctly and lock in place. A micrometer was used to check the batteries for a variance in the batteries. I have a feeling that if checked your stock will all be defective.
