The Sony SEL1855 lens is a standard zoom lens featuring smooth and silent autofocus capabilities and an E-type mount. This Sony lens also offers an angle of view from 76 degrees to 29 degrees. Equipped with Sony’s Optical SteadyShot image stabilization system, the 18 mm-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens produces sharp images without using a tripod and allows the user to capture blur-free images at shutter speeds up to four steps slower than possible without the system. Furthermore, the 3x zoom allows this Sony lens to capture distant details with clarity. The Sony SEL1855 lens is lightweight at just 6.9 oz, so that it can be transported while attached to a camera or in a camera bag without taking up much space or adding weight. This 18 mm-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens offers a focal length range equivalent to 27 mm-82.5 mm for a 35 mm camera, making it ideal for many types of photography, including close-up portraits and expansive landscapes.
