The Nikon D D5200 is a midrange interchangeable lens camera for advanced beginners in photography. This camera offers a 24 megapixel (MP) resolution, with a 23.5 mm by 15.6 mm sensor size and a top continuous shooting speed of 5 frames per second at full resolution. It also comes with a 3-inch diagonal Vari-angle TFT LCD, which swivels to nearly any given position and gives users a wide viewing angle. The camera body measures 5.1 inches wide by 3.9 inch high and 3.1 inches deep. The body weighs approximately 1.12 pounds. This 24MP camera has a DX-format CMOS image sensor, to produce exceptional image quality. The built-in high dynamic range (HDR) and pro-quality special effects, lens and filters are useful in executing the user’s creative concepts and ideas. Nikon D D5200 cameras also handle full HD video shooting, with 1080p recording at 30p, 25p, 24p, and 60i. Shooting video in manual mode gives users the ability to take limited control of the shutter speed and ISO, but not the aperture. It also captures ultra-high-quality audio thanks to the camera’s built-in microphone. The stereo sound meter also allows adjustment of levels on the built-in or external mic, such as the optional ME-1 stereo microphone for optimal sound quality. It has 39 auto focus (AF) points and 9 AF options, namely: Contrast Detect, Phase Detect, Multi-Area, Selective Single-point, Tracking, Single, Continuous, Face Detection, and Live View. Users can also opt to set the camera lens to manual focusing. The Autofocus assist lamp is also helpful for higher focusing accuracy. The ISO sensitivity range in D5200 cameras are from 100-6400, with H1 and H2 expansion up to 25, 600 ISO equivalent. The Nikon D D5200 has a sleek and streamlined design. It is small and lightweight and despite the plastic body material, the camera feels solid with no flexing or creaking. This Nikon camera has a reasonable set of external controls. The 4-way controller at the back can be used to move the active focus point among its 39 autofocus points. It is not touchscreen capable but many of the functions can easily be accessed through the rear LCD display. This Nikon D5200 digital camera model also comes with an array of input and output types. Aside from the usual HDMI and USB/AV out, it also accepts an external stereo microphone which is very helpful for video recording. It also offers a multi-function port that can connect both Nikon’s GP-1 GPS unit and the MC-DC2 electronic cable release. It also features both front and rear receivers for the ML-L3 wireless remote. The D5200 Nikon DSLR camera has various scene modes, such as auto, portrait, child, close- up, night portrait, party/indoor, pet portrait, and color sketch. The shutter speed ranges from 30 to 1/4000 seconds. It has a built-in pop-up flash and a hot-shoe mount for external flash. It also comes with various flash modes including red-eye, slow-sync, and rear curtain mode, with a Flash X sync speed of 1/200 seconds. The built-in pop-up flash has a guide number of 12m at ISO 100, which gives ample power for social shooting or for fill flash. The Nikon D D5200 DSLR camera kit comes with a red camera body and an 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S Nikkor zoom kit lens. It also comes with a software CD which contains the Nikon ViewNX2 (for Windows and Mac users), an image editor, file browser, file converter, and basic movie editor in one.
