Viking very good but the chair is not !
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich It is not a hard decision when you buy a chair which is good and then need another one to decide what to buy so in this case and about 18 months apart I purchased my second of these Berlin chairs from Viking who are excellent on Ebay and superb hassle free service and returns. Alas the second chair I received was a mere shadow on the first unit. This very good product has been changed in more than one way. Firstly the quality of the materials. The covering is not the original tough and not so smooth material on the original chair and the foam of the base (which is important you sit on it!) was not as good not as firm or supportive. Then the most terrible part the seat has no rake adjustment which on the original unit was not an issue as it was perfectly level so when you sat on it it was imediate comfort all you needed to do was adjust the lever to raise or lower the seat so your feet were flat on the floor and not removing the support from the back of your legs. So you can imagine when i sit on the new seat its like an ejector seat tilting forward so all the weight tips onto the bottom of the back of your spine. On looking at the underside of the seat you can imagine my horror when i see that the seat desigh is different and the back 2 bolts for where the main base it attached to the seat are on a raised moulding hence tilting the seat at a crazy angle forward. Unbelievable how to take a great product and make it into a rubbish one. I don't get it someone needs to be sacked really that's all I can say a no brainer. On my second time of sitting on the chair a screw holding the left arm on fell out (a part that i didn't even assemble) so that for me was the straw that broke the camels back and the chair was returned collected and paid for by Viking 100% hassle free even sending a box for it. What I would say is if I had sent someone such rubbish I'd send a box to collect it also. Viking on the other hand are a really good organisation and the chair is not expensive. They took a great product worth certainly £70 and good value changed the design to make it less expensive to manufacture no doubt and made a rubbish one from a great template - very silly.
