  This tailgate handle showed up quickly and was easy to install. The chrome-colored handle itself is most likely made of cast Aluminum, which I found disappointing. This was the piece that broke off of my truck in the first place. Aluminum can be cold worked to fatigue and failure, but steel would have been more durable. The internal components are steel, however. It was easy to install and works fine. The tolerances on the pins between the handle and the rest of the internals could be better.
