Plug it in, connect to its wifi and set the IP and port number in your control app. Scope Boss and Stellarium worked with those steps. There is a short delay between button presses and slewing but it’s easily manageable. If you get too far away from it losing connection can cause hang ups in the apps but just disconnect and reconnect in the app and it works again.

Login with your iPhone, or whatever then go to ScopeBoss (free app App Store) enter the IP address and port number, hit connect your in! works out-of-the-box as your controller + its on your phone without a wired connection. very, very, cool...
