RIBZ Front Pack
A front pack is a pack or bag that allows for access of equipment from
the persons chest. Front packs first and foremost allow for easy access of gear
without the removal of any equipment. In many adventure outdoor activities it
can be critical to the sport to have the ability to reach essential gear fast without
the removal of a backpack. Simplicity is the foremost purpose of the front pack
but there are many additional benefits as well.
Weight distribution and balance is a key element in the utility of the
front pack. Shifting weight forward in situations when carrying heavy loads can
be critical to the comfort and balance of an individual.
Backpacking is an activity where in many situations it is critical to
both minimize or maximize the contents of your load for a longer or lighter
duration of stay. The ability to move small amounts of weight to the frontal
region significantly reduces overall stress on an persons shoulders and back.
Moving a small amount of heavy equipment forward to a front pack can allow for
an individual to either maximize or minimize the overall load contained in a
backpack.
From hiking, fishing, hunting and snowboarding / skiing, to horseback
riding, long distance biking, motorcycling and kayaking (to name but a few!).
In all there are unlimited uses for the front pack. Front packs are the
best compliment to any outdoorsman’s gear when accessibility, functionality,
mobility and simplicity are required.

WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION
By more evenly distributing your weight, RIBZ creates a more comfortable
pack configuration. For the same reason a backpack provides more even weight
distribution, a front pack helps in relocating up to 10lbs for a better
balanced load. Better balance gives better posture and increases mobility.
The use of a front pack repositions a portion of your weight forward
which reduces your overall shoulder stress and increases comfort, mobility and
balance. A front pack also creates the illusion of carrying a lighter load.
Though the RIBZ front pack was designed with ultralight backpacking intentions,
any outdoor activity where easy access of equipment is critical is where it
proves beneficial. RIBZ front pack can be used alone as a vest but is primarily
designed to work with your existing backpack as increased functionality.

PRODUCT
The RIBZ front pack is made of 210d water resistant ripstop nylon. The
front pack weighs approx. 9 oz. (12oz. for camo). All components are water
resistant and have proven durability in the most extreme of conditions. With an
average storage capacity between 600 and 800 cubic inches, you can comfortably
carry up to 10 pounds in the front packs.
HINTS and TIPS
The RIBZ front pack was designed with many sports and activities in
mind. Upon receipt of your RIBZ it is smart to first adjust the shoulder straps
so they fit high above the waist line and low enough to fit comfortable under
your arms. Basically fitted right around your ribcage.
It is also a good idea to load your pack with the items for your
activity before adjusting the back straps to desired fitting. RIBZ can be
adjusted to fit snug for high intensity activities or loosely for when casual.
For the serious ultralight backpacking enthusiast, try moving a few
pounds off your back into your RIBZ for better weight distribution and comfort.
For best results cleaning your RIBZ we recommend hand washing and air
drying.
